So, I have been experimenting and practicing with digital photography a lot, lately. With the desire to hone up my skills, I thought of starting a bi-monthly photo project: Taking a spin on the Friday Five meme and Douglas Adams' h2g2, I present F2P2: Friday Four Photo Project.
Every alternate Friday, I shall post four questions; you have to submit your answers with photos. You can either post your answers in here, or comment with a link to the gallery or your journal/blog where [they] have been displayed. There is no deadline, really, but it'd be nice if you can submit your answers within the span of two weeks -- before I post the next set of questions. The only condition is, the photos have to be taken by you. Also, a link to my original post would be appreciated.
Now, I know all of you are brilliantly creative people, so I really hope you will participate! Here are today's questions:
10. 08. 04 - F2P2
My answers:
1. A view from a window:

View from my car window.
As I sped past, I couldn't help but chuckle at this sight: the cab-driver was fast asleep on the lid of the trunk, while his family made vain attempts to rouse him. The strangest thing was, he had parked his vehicle on the pavement!
2. A reflection:

Church spires reflected in the glass of the chapel opposite.
I felt a sense of calmness while taking this photo. It was a breezy and quiet day...
ilenebook and
elmo7, this one's for you both.
3. Some item you wore today:

Le pouvoir d'une fleur singulière, forte, pure et sensuelle.
I adore perfumes.
Flower, by Kenzo, is one among my collection of twenty-six French perfumes.
I think my dear
anupma and the lovely
saralicious will like this as both of them are perfume-lovers, as well.
4. Show me: Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue -
Something Old
(I dedicate the following photos to my beloved bf,
andala, who loves antiques. He continues to be my biggest source of motivation and inspiration):

My grandmother's old phone.
It was made in Great Britain in by SIEMENS, Brothers and Co. Ltd.

Something New:

Something Borrowed:

The book is not borrowed; however, the quote has been used by me on several occasions.

The book - A Guide for the Advanced Soul - was a birthday present from my dear friend,
pumpkin_lisa. It's a book of quotations and passages by writers and poets; I have a deep love for quotes and often borrow them for use in conversations or while writing.
***
Something Blue:

It's a blue flower vase. I am madly in love with the colour blue.

For some reason, this makes me think of my lovely friend
thineownself.

For
maggieroofus, who loves bright, cheerful gerbera daisies. She even has some on her website - Moonjuice. Go, have a look!

I am absolutely finding myself short of words to comment on the poetic beauty of these photos. I shall try to borrow a digital camera and do some shots myself.
I love this idea - will bring the camera around with me tomorrow and try some of these suggestions......
Blue is so tranquil. No frills just blue(no idea what that means just popped in my head ). The inside of the blue vase reminded me of so many things i had forgotten... Thanks :-)
Adding you to friends list. I love pictures :) Returning it isn't expected, I write crap in my journal.
PS: I'm cameraless.
> PS: I'm cameraless.
Aww. But you can still enjoy! :-)
Thank you, Nanne!
I will try this in the next weeks!
Thank you for showing these!
So happy you liked them, sweetie. Merci!
Mickey
Hmmm I'll try this but with my lousy digital camera, I don't think the pictures will be comparable to yours. Nice idea anyway.
i love and am drawn to the color of blue too!
as always, creative
fantastic idea.
Thank you so much!
The reflection and the depiction of "something blue" took my breath away. Your niece's joie de vivre is infectious; her body language full of life and exuberance. The photo of the chair is very artistic and grabs the attention in spite of its stark simplicity. I liked the view from the window a lot. And your grandfather's photo makes me smile. :-)
I shall post the next set in two weeks (or make it a weekly project if it gains enough popularity. Let's see).
Thank you for participating!
I hope to have my responses before the weekend is over :)
Also, saw your IM - Sadly enough, I was still asleep when you tried to IM me. Yes, I'm a slacker today ;)
Coming from a talented photographer like you, this means a lot! I do plan on printing the phone series photos and the seashell/blue vase one. :-) I'll send you a copy of the first phone photo.
I can't wait to see your responses! *excited*
Love you. xoxox
Esp the telephone ones.
Takes a special sort of talent. (come online soon)
I have been slack with IM, but I'll check for you soon.
*hugs*
I have a blue-thing too. heh.
> I have a blue-thing too.
That does not surprise me in the least. ;-)
I have no digital camera, and we all know that, if I were to take some pic's, try to finish a roll, get the film taken in, and get the film developed, and get the photos scanned... Let's face it, I'd go way over the two weeks. ;)
I have a couple photos that may work, though, for some of the "questions"... I just have to get my scanner software re-installed (still got a few things left to do, since I did a full system restore on my PC).
Thank you, Brian!
I wish you could participate. I also wish I could see more of your Zambia photos, too. Perhaps if I nag you enough...
;-)
Amazing photos, amazing color combos.
I'd like to post my pictures but I dont have a digital camera. I'd be clicking with my Zire 72.
Mean while do check out

Thanks for sharing the link, I'll have a look later.
This is a great idea, Minn! I am interested in sharpening my skills too, and soon I will be able to play properly as I will also have a digital to work with.
I shall eagerly await your submissions to the project!
would love to play, but doubt i have enough time on hand at the moment :(
will definitely keep a close watch though!
the more the merrier eh?;)
But I am glad you enjoyed these! :-)
